In honor of my 30th birthday, I'm celebrating for 30 days in 30 (usually small) ways. Here's what my first week looked like:

Day 1 (August 1): I made my first ever cast iron skillet cookie while watching the Bachelorette finale. Pretty amazing. See above.

Day 2: I LOVE magazines, so I allowed myself to buy 2 new issues in preparation for our upcoming Austin road tip. My choices? InStyle and Us Weekly. Of course, that's because I already receive People, People StyleWatch, Real Simple and Glamour.

Day 3: I got an iTunes gift card from work, and I downloaded 10 new songs for my running mix.

Day 4: Joe and I took Thursday and Friday off to go down to Austin for Kristina and Tim's wedding. Getting a day off from work was a treat in itself, but I also loved spending time with Joe in the car and getting to spend time with Leia and Kristina.

Day 5: We were in Austin and I got to go to a Whole Foods. I was so excited I ended up going three times in that day. Oh yeah, I also got to hang with Lauren, George, Amy and Ant.

Day 6: On Saturday, the group in Austin came together to go to Barton Springs. It was so fun to do something different! The wedding was also that night and it was amazing. We stayed up until 3 am - which made me feel much younger than my (soon to be) 30 years.

Day 7: It's the little things right? On this day, I was really excited to try out the new nightstand knobs I bought at Anthropologie. I've been really working on getting the house decorated (our bedroom is my top focus right now).

Days 8-14 to come in a second post.
